Before you decide that you want to get yourself a small screen laptop make sure that you know exactly what you’ll be using the system for. If you are just doing word processing, emails, web surfing and simple computer tasks then this might be a great match for you. On the other hand if you’re doing visual work like graphics or video you might want to look at a wide screen laptop instead.

In my case I do a lot of my computing work from my studio and house so I have no real need to buy a laptop with the smallest screen possible. I can see the use of them because you can be extremely mobile. So if you are the kind of person that loves to do work on the go, in coffee shops, on planes, etc then these new models may be the ones for you.

I recently did some searching on the web to see what kind of small screen laptops I could come up with and I found a few worth mentioning. The main companies I would recommend you to look into would be an Asus or an Acer. They both seem to really be making some nice little laptops for you to easily carry around while you’re on a business adventure.

They are small but still pack a bit of computing power. Asus has one machine called the Asus Eee PC coming out in spring of 2009. It’s tiny ultra portable but it seems to be a bit heavy for my liking – 4.4 pounds! Then you can check out the ultra light and also widescreen Acer Aspire One. This computer has an 8.9 inch wide screen and a keyboard that most people love using. So there you have a it a few more choices to look into if you’re considering buying a small screen notebook or laptop for your portable computer needs!

Finding Cheap Laptops For Sale

Well we’re back in effect with some more tips on getting great bargains on business laptops and more! Ok, so it’s all swell and dandy that you want to save yourself a few bucks and get yourself the cheapest laptop you can find on the market but let’s not be foolish and get ahead of ourselves here. Remember the old saying penny wise, pound foolish? Well when shopping for inexpensive laptops this is also the case. There are certain aspects within laptops that you’ll want to make sure are included to ensure you’re getting yourself the best laptop computer you can.

One thing you’re going to want to make sure you’re new laptop pc comes with is a powerful processor also referred to as the CPU. Some of the processors that I would recommend looking into would be from the company Intel. They are probably the most well known CPU maker on the market today. If your notebook has a Pentium processor or any of the Core family processors you’ll be pretty good to go. Of course it depends on what you’ll be using your laptop for maybe for business or as a student, but for average users most Pentiums and Core processors will do the job nicely. Many people like the Intel Celeron processor but I have always stayed away from them due to performance issues.

Another issue that you’re going to want to look into before you rush into buying the cheapest laptop you can find is memory otherwise known as RAM. Most notebook deals that you’ll find will come with at least 512MB or memory but I would upgrade to at least 1GB of RAM to make sure your computing experience is a smooth one. It won’t cost you much and you’ll notice a big difference when it comes to performance.

So remember when you’re on the look out for inexpensive laptops don’t cut corners and buy yourself a bare minimum machine. For between five to seven hundred dollars US you should be able to pick up an affordable laptop that meets the requirements I’ve mentioned above.
