Before you decide that you want to get yourself a small screen laptop make sure that you know exactly what you’ll be using the system for. If you are just doing word processing, emails, web surfing and simple computer tasks then this might be a great match for you. On the other hand if you’re doing visual work like graphics or video you might want to look at a wide screen laptop instead.

In my case I do most of my computer consulting work from my studio and house so I have no real need to buy a laptop with the smallest screen possible. I can see the use of them because you can be extremely mobile. It’s tiny ultra portable but it seems to be a bit heavy for my liking – 4.4 pounds! Then you can check out the ultra light and also widescreen Acer Aspire One. This computer has an 8.9 inch wide screen and a keyboard that most people love using. So there you have a it a few more choices to look into if you’re considering buying a small screen notebook or laptop for your portable computer needs!

Well because the need of speed has increased so much and consumers these days just don’t want to wait for their personal notebooks to boot up the industry and PC computer companies have responded to this demand. First it was the lightest notebooks, then durable laptops, and now its quick start computers that start up within about 20 seconds from the time you push the power button.

Some of the companies that are in the fore front of this technology are companies like Dell and HP. Most people don’t really need quick start laptops but because of our overall lack of patience this is what we are going to get it seems like. I guess I can understand because if the boot up time takes a couple of minutes around here it seems like eternity.

I have resorted to pressing the power button on my lovely widescreen notebook, going to brush my teeth, and then by the time I’m back in front of my computer I’m ready to get to work. To me it’s honestly no hassle at all. I’d rather get my self a good quality, laptop at a cheap price that works well then worry about quick start laptops at a hefty price. But I guess it all comes down to preference and in this high new tech world we get to choose and that is the most important when it comes to buying a notebook!

So what I started to do for you guys is a bit more research of course this time to find the smallest notebook computer that I could. The first small laptop that I found was the ASUS Eee PC 4G. This is a very small computer and only has a 7 inch display but it comes with windows XP also. It’s price range is very cheap running from about $300-400USD. The reason that this tiny and low priced notebook comes with XP is because Windows XP actually runs much better on machines that don’t have as high quality components like memory and processors. This is a very small laptop computer and it looks pretty good too so search it out!

For those of you that are good old Apple Mac fans then don’t get too worried yet. If you want one of the lightest notebook computers around that is a MAC then you can go for the new Mac Book Air. This machine is not by any means one of the cheapest notebooks around but it definitely is a nice machine with class and elegance. The cool thing about this machine is you will have two choice for the price range one is just under $2000USD and the other around $3000. This beautiful lightweight notebook weighs only 3 pounds and has a display of 13.3 inches.

So there you go, if you’re looking around for the smallest notebook computer you can find then you are in luck because these days more and more companies in the laptop and computer world are realizing this and making computers that fit the mobile and active lifestyle. Take your time look around and do your research and you’ll definitely be able to find a laptop for sale that is small, light, affordable, but most of all meets your labtop computing needs!

These days most professors prefer print outs for projects instead of handwritten or typewritten ones. The latter two are just too slow and too inefficient methods in this digital world. But since students usually can’t afford to splurge on anything, notebook companies have designed and developed a whole slew of affordable student laptops that can do the job.

Depending on the speed and power, you will be able to find a durable cheap new laptop that will be enough to fulfill your academic functions. If you really don’t need to run databases, huge graphics, or any memory heavy programs, you really won’t need to have the fastest computers out there. If you will only be using the student notebook mostly for word processing, you can opt for those more affordable laptops. But of course, you shouldn’t discount the fact that everything could be easier with a speedy laptop. If you have the dough, go for a fast, lightweight laptop that will last you a long time!
