This lightweight computer is only 2.28 pounds and has about a 4 hour battery life. It is very light and compact for people on the move and it’s wireless ready. It’s a pretty amazing lab top but the standard model only comes with a 4GB hard drive which might not be enough for many people. If you’re using this mostly for business documents and emails it might be a perfect computer for you.

If you don’t have too much money to spend but you’re still looking for a good notebook to do the job this might be exactly the computer that you are looking for.

Of course if you do go the route of buying such an affordable laptop then you might want to do a few upgrades just so it performs a bit better overall. Some of the features of the Dell Vostro 1500 is it has rounded corners which make it look like a nice modern laptop. It does come with 2gb of ram and a 160gb hardrive so it should be great for all your computing needs. The battery is also said to perform pretty good for a cheap budget laptop. One of the only problems I could find about this laptop is that it is a bit heavy and weighs in about 3.1kg’s. The weight of it alone would make me not want to buy it since I like to move around. Basically the reason durable laptops have become popular is for the same reason lightweight notebooks are popular – People are often on the go and find them selves in all sorts of situations where they might need to use there lap top computer. Originally the more rugged laptops and were built for just military or police needs. But now they have hit the mainstream a bit more.
